Through art and music, the Equine Art Extravaganza celebrates the beautiful bond that has been forged throughout the ages between horses and humans. Dunrovin Ranch will once again host this amazing event in which up to 6 professional artists paint live horses for an art contest to benefit The Friends of Dunrovin 501c3. For 2020 the Equine Art Extravaganza’s theme is ‘Horse Play’. It is an afternoon to evening affair that includes a gourmet meal and live entertainment.

Dunrovin Ranch would like to invite all artists to participate in this extraordinary art contest that involves using live horses as art canvases. The event will be on Saturday, August 15, 2020, and the theme is ‘Horse Play’. The Equine Art Extravaganza will be hosted at Dunrovin Ranch in Lolo, MT (directions) and online via Dunrovin’s network of web cameras.

Deadline to submit designs June 15, 2020

Submission requirements submit your conceptual design sketch(s) with an accompanying list of materials (for approval), artist bio, artist photo, and artist statement to DunrovinEAE@gmail.com by June 15, 2020. Additional details are in the Artists Package you received.

Notification date selected artists (maximum of 6) will be notified by June 22, 2020

Event date August 15, 2020

Awards each participating artist receives a $300 stipend for their participation and to cover the cost of materials. Additionally, online public viewers will vote for their favorite horse/artist combination by making a $5 donation to the Friends of Dunrovin (a Montana 501 c3 nonprofit organization) for each vote cast. The 1st place artist will receive 20% and the 2nd place artist 10% of the net (donations minus credit card processing fees) revenues received in the voting process.
