Screendance & Film Workshop
Led by Mike Steinberg from Missoula, MT

This screendance filmmaking workshop introduces participants to the creative and technical processes involved in making dance films. Through clips, lecture and discussion, as well as hands-on exercises, participants explore how movement, camera work, editing, sound, and location interact to create compelling screen-based choreography. The workshop covers concept development, storyboarding, filming techniques, collaboration between dancers and filmmakers, and post-production editing.

Suitable for dancers, choreographers, filmmakers, and artists of all experience levels, the program encourages experimentation and the development of original screendance projects.
