Description:
Free Admission Every Day!
Fair Hours
The Western Montana Fair operates from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. July 31st – August 2nd and August 4th to August 8th. August 3rd will be a transition day open only to fair staff. There is one lot for handicap parking (Stephens Ave. entrance) and one lot for public parking (Stephens Avenue).
Park Hours
The park is open 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. Park users are welcome to picnic (outside alcohol is not permitted). Water fill stations are located along the trail. Restrooms are open to the public during the Fair.
No fees
The Fair is free to all. No gate fees are charged to enter the Fairgrounds. Fees only apply with regard to parking, concessions, carnival and grandstand events as noted during the week of the Fair.
Pets Prohibited
For the duration of the Western Montana Fair, pets are not permitted. Service animals are permitted in designated areas.
Service animals may be excluded where it is determined that allowing service animals would fundamentally alter the nature of the goods, services, programs or activities provided to the public. Service animals are excluded from the Llama Barn (Building #34), poultry exhibits and rabbit exhibits during the Fair.
THURSDAY | AUGUST 6
It's Market Show Day, as 4-H & FFA exhibitors showcase the animals they've worked so hard to raise throughout the year. While the competitions unfold in the livestock barns, enjoy free music, dancing, and demonstrations in the Historic Plaza, then stop by the Floriculture Building to admire the spectacular Gladiolus Show. At 7PM, wear pink and join us for Tough Enough to Wear Pink at the PRCA Rodeo, or head to the free live music stage featuring the Josh Farmer Band.
FRIDAY | AUGUST 7
Friday is a showcase of the very best the Fair has to offer—from the breathtaking Dahlia Show, bursting with award-winning blooms, to 4-H & FFA Showmanship competitions highlighting the skill and dedication of our young exhibitors. 7PM the arena comes alive with another action-packed night of the Missoula Stampede Rodeo. Or, if live music is more your style, head to the free stage for a great evening with 406.
SATURDAY | AUGUST 8
It’s 4-H & FFA Livestock Sale Day—and the final chance to bid in the Fur & Feather Silent Auction! The Historic Plaza is alive with free music, dancing, games, and hands-on demonstrations throughout the day. At 7PM, choose your perfect Saturday night: celebrate Legends Night at the rodeo as we honor one of our community's outstanding citizens and salute our military, or kick back at the free live music stage with the Brass and Soul Collective.
The Fair closes at 10 p.m. but save the date for the 2028 Fair to be held next August!
