Lake Missoula Tea Company
Description:
Join us at the tea shop to enjoy illustrations by Bob Athearn and visit with author Fen Hofhansel.
In high school, Bob did a few illustrations for science-fiction great author Harlan Ellison and illustrated the yearbook. After the US army he got his MA and taught English at Montana Tech in Butte. He also built a log cabin. More recently he was a jazzy-bluesy keyboardist around Missoula with "Betty for Sheriff" and "The Full Grown Band". He entertains himself and friends by creating quirky drawings that tickle the imagination.
Fen Hofhansel is a writer and barista living in Missoula, Montana, where she recently completed her MFA in fiction. She is the recipient of a Truman Capote Fellowship, a finalist in the 2020 ACM Nick Adams Short Story Contest, and the author of the chapbooks Sorry to Miss You (Dead Mall Press, 2023) and Self-Portrait of the Artist Stupid with Grief (Another New Calligraphy, 2024). Her work has appeared in Gone Lawn (where it was nominated for Best of the Net in Poetry), Prolit, and elsewhere.
