Description:
A music-intensive day camp for students entering 1st through 7th grades.
Instruction on bass, cello, viola, and violin, beginning through advanced, with solo and ensemble performance opportunities. Campers entering 1st through 5th grades need no prior music experience. Just have them bring an instrument, and we'll get them started!
Camp begins with registration and convocation on Sunday evening, July 19. After that, the camp day runs 8:10am to 3pm, Monday through Friday (July 20-24). There is time for both music practice and fun, as well as Enrichment activities (such as Art and African Drumming) and a picnic lunch at Bonner park on Wednesday. Highly advanced campers may also apply to participate in an ensemble in the UM Strings Camp, running concurrently.
The MSA String Camp concludes with a Final Concert on Friday afternoon for family and friends. Please see our website for more information and registration. You may also email the Camp Director at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
