Love Your Enemies - Small Group
6:30 PM (America/Denver)
University Congregational Church
Description:
Join me (Janice) for 3 sessions based on the book Love Your Enemies: How Decent People Can Save America from the Culture of Contempt by Arthur C. Brooks. This book has had a profound influence on me. I read it last summer, and I have waited all year to share it with you! We will not study the book chapter by chapter. Instead we will explore the main themes that Brooks offers, drawing on other sources as well. You will be able to participate whether or not you have read the book.

What is the difference between anger and contempt? Does identity politics lead to more love or less? Can we afford to be nice? In a disagreement, what tactic never works? What happens when our story is not told?

We will meet via Zoom from 9:30-11:00 am on three Saturdays, July 11, 18, 25. Join us for any or all of these sessions.

We would love for someone to be Janice’s “tech host” to help run Zoom. Let Graham know if you are planning to join the group and willing to help.
