Food & Bev :: Food also Education :: Health
Nutrition Class
5:30 PM
This course is free and open to the public. Participants must attend 6 of the 9 classes in order to receive a graduation certificate. If a participant misses a class, make-up classes can be offered.

This class is focused on parents who qualify for SNAP, with a strong emphasis on pregnant women/teens, parents with young children, or adult caregivers (grandparents) who are responsible for feeding young children. The course is a 9 week series that covers issues related to diet quality, physical activity, food resource management, food safety, and food security. Each class includes a food demonstration and incentives such as grocery lists, food thermometers, and more. Our hope is that you leave the classes feeling empowered to make healthier and more sustainable food choices for you and your family!

These classes are offered every Tuesday and Wednesday night at 5:30pm.

If you'd like to attend this event, please email kayla.martin3@montana.edu and you will be provided a link to each class.
