Learning With Meaning
Electrical Engineering Summer Camp Description:
Dates: July 6-10 , August 3-7

Ages: 5-14

Have you ever wanted to make a video game, build a robot and battle with other robots or design and 3d print custom designs? Do you want to learn how to write code in Minecraft? Do you want to learn about real-world engineering solutions? Then Innovate camp is for you! Learning With Meaning has the technology and experts to help you learn those skills that interest you, instead of having you follow a setlist of activities each week. If you’re not sure what you want to do, don’t worry – you can change activities and try new things at Innovate camp! Innovate camp features a morning and afternoon learning block where students will be doing theme-based activities in the morning and in the afternoon, they can pick their activities from a number of choices. In the middle of the day, we will hit the park for lunch, playtime and some unplugged activities designed to help your student burn off energy and enjoy the outdoors. During each camp, our First Tech Challenge robotics team members will work with students to give them positive male and female role models in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). The FTC team will also demo their competition robot for interested campers. A portion of the proceeds from each camp will be donated to our FTC team to support their upcoming 2020-2021 competition season. This is all about circuits, how computers work and we will explore what can go work with electronics. We will also use Minecraft Redstone to model circuits programmatically.
