Arboretum Tour with Focus on Montana Broadleaf Trees Description:
Discover your State of Montana Arboretum at the UM Campus! The Arboretum has over 2,300 trees of more than 100 species, some planted over 110 years ago and new ones planted just this year. The Arboretum is organized into eight forest regions of North America.

Martin Skinner, aided by Kelly Chadwick, will lead this leisurely tour which will focus on Montana broadleaf trees, with ample time for questions. Time permitting, larch trees might be shown, too. This is the second of a monthly series of arboretum tours that will highlight different features of the Arboretum collection.

The tour will begin at 11 a.m. NE of the Oval at “the Root” just north of Main Hall and west of the University Center.
