Summer camps at the Clay Studio of Missoula are a fantastic way for young people to get creative! Each camp is a week-long art studio experience where kids get to be inspired by different broad themes to explore the massive world of ceramic arts with. Kids will be guided by a teaching artist who will show them the foundational techniques of clay. Beginners are welcome at all age ranges, and return students are always welcome!

Teen Wheel Pottery is where teens age 12 and up can learn the basics of the electric potter’s wheel! This tricky method uses a spinning wheel to help potters create perfectly circular vessels. Learn the foundational technique from a professional potter, and get the chance to practice, practice, practice! Participants will make and glaze their own vessels ranging from cups to bowls and basic plates, possibly more advanced depending on ability. Beginning students are welcome, and this is also a great place for returning teens to get more practice and make more pottery.
