In the Footsteps of Norman Maclean Literary Festival Description:
Join us June 24th for an opening cocktail reception at the Dana Gallery and June 25th-26th for two full days of the In the Footsteps of Norman Maclean Literary Festival at The Wilma!
The Maclean Literary festival connects people who love reading with a group of the West's most prominent writers who will share unique perspectives on the importance of our public lands and the sacred ancestral grounds of America’s first peoples.
Daytime events will be held at the gorgeous Wilma theatre in downtown Missoula. These events are free of charge to the public but registration is required.

Tickets will be sold at the door for the Friday night cocktail reception to be held at the Dana Art Gallery. Tickets for the Gala Dinner at The Wilma Saturday evening are available on our website. This event will include the live and online art auction for Kevin Red Star's painting, created exclusively for the 2022 Maclean Festival. Online auction registration will be available on our website soon.

Keynote speakers at this year's festival are Timothy Egan (The Big Burn), Terry Tempest Williams (Erosion) and John N Maclean, along with Debra Magpie Earling, Rick Bass, Doug Peacock, Shane Doyle, M.L. Smoker, Michael Punke and many other prominent authors. Bureau of Land Management Director Tracy Stone-Manning will present and Steve Bullock and Crow artists Kevin Red Star will speak at the Saturday evening Gala Dinner at The Wilma.
