Join staff from Milltown State Park and the University of Montana Bird Ecology Lab on Saturday, June 19th for a morning of bird banding. Visitors can arrive at the Milltown State Park Confluence (7363 Juniper Dr, Missoula, MT 59802) anytime from 7:00am to 11:30am. This event is free and open to kids and adults of all ages.


This is a great opportunity to observe birds “in the hand”, learn why biologists capture and band birds, find out why riparian areas are so important to birds, and learn some bird ID skills.
