Introducing a new addition to the Leaf Quiet’s repertoire of events and community gatherings for creatives – the Youth Creative Collaborative!

Created for youth and created by youth; ages 9-14.

The brainchild of a 10-year-old who overheard me telling a plant customer that I wanted to bring poetry and creative writing into my space, this youngster approached me to ask if she could start a youth group for young creatives.

This youngster has used monies she has earned from Girl Scouts to buy supplies for writing; journals and pencils and stickers to decorate beloved journals to make each journal special to the new owner.

The focus is on poetry in the beginning with an aim to expand to other creative interests.
So, bring your own poem, or read from your favorite poet or work on something new!
The point is to have fun, build your very own youth creative community.
