The Five Valley Kennel Club brings dog lovers the 67th annual Five Valley Kennel Club Dog Show. Hundreds of dogs and their owners from the US and Canada will get the chance to strut their stuff in a variety of dog events May 30-June 2, 2024 at the Missoula County Fair Grounds from 9 to 5 each day. The event is great for the whole family with free admission. Parking is $5 at the gate.

SPECTATORS CAN:

Meet and greet a variety of different dog breeds. Visitors can learn about responsible dog ownership, speak to breeders, owners and handlers.
Watch the judging of various breeds in Conformation and cheer for your favorite. Local Note: Two Five Valley Kennel Club dogs received an invite and participated in the Westminster Kennel Club dog show in May 2024 in NYC with one bringing home an Award of Merit.
See young owner-handlers compete against their peers in the Junior Showmanship competition with the Best of the Best Junior receiving a $500 scholarship.
Watch owner-handlers compete in a special series called the National Owner-Handled Series. These exhibitors are striving to qualify for an invitation to the finals at the AKC National Championships presented by Royal Canin in Orlando in December. Local note: Five Valley Kennel Club has had dogs represented in the NOHS finals each year for the last 5 years.
See puppies get started in the sport in the AKC Sanctioned 4-6 month Puppy Competition
Obedience and rally trials will test a dog's understanding of commands, as they maneuver hurdles and retrieve articles. Local note: Five Valley Kennel Club has had 3 dogs qualify for an invitation to the AKC Rally National Championships in 2024.
Watch canine athletes show off their extreme water skills in Dock Diving competition. Local note: Your dog can also try dock diving for a fee.
Watch or join in with other canine athletes to participate in Fast CAT® – which stands for Coursing Ability Test – is a timed 100-yard dash where dogs run one at a time, chasing a lure. It’s over before you know it — and it’s nothing short of awe-inspiring to watch a dog run at top speed, ears back, eyes focused, legs strong. Local note: All dogs can participate in Fast CAT, whether purebred or mixed breed for a fee. Also, the Five Valley Kennel Club has a record for having the fastest Saint Bernard on record
Celebrate the 50 Therapy Dog teams who volunteer their services at hospitals, schools and libraries in our area. Watch a Parade of Therapy dogs on Saturday, June 1, 2024 in Ring 5.
