Description:
When: Saturday May 24th from 7pm-10pm

A Self-Discovery Workshop
In this workshop participants will learn about intentionality, tune into the self, and practice how to listen while in relationship to self and others.
Participants will gain a deeper sense of self-trust through movement and exploration.
Everyone will learn about and practice fostering connection beyond physical touch.
We will integrate guided dance with self and others, while learning new tools and taking time to practice with each other.
We will use therapeutic modalities such as meditation, reflection, verbal processing, and breathwork to deepen our experience and movement practice.
What to expect:
Guided conversations about tuning into self and honoring the boundaries of others
Intentional dance and opportunities to practice mindfulness
Contact dance experiences
Time for meditation, reflection, verbal processing, and breathwork
Deepening connection and trust with yourself and others
Please bring:
A water bottle - keep that body hydrated
Comfortable clothes to sit and move freely in
Comfortable socks/slippers (no shoes allowed in the main movement space)
Some yoga mats, blankets, and bolsters are available for use but bring anything specific you may need to be comfortable sitting on a hardwood floor
An open mind and heart - be patient and respectful of your limitations and the boundaries of others
Meet Rachel
Rachel Rollins, LCPC, CMHC, MA has worked in the mental health field for over 10 years, including in Wilderness Therapy programs where she cultivated her love of bridging movement and therapy.
As a licensed therapist, Rachel works mostly with the body, utilizing trauma modalities such as EMDR and somatic therapy. Recently, she began to incorporate her love of dance into her practice. Utilizing a combination of movement and therapeutic strategies supports greater healing for both our bodies and our relationships.
Rachel has been involved in ecstatic dance communities for the past decade and helps co-facilitate with Freedom Dance Collective in the Flathead Valley. She recently completed a training with ?Contact Beyond Contact? where she learned essential strategies for facilitating contact dance, specifically focused on ways that incorporate psychosocial benefits and therapeutic modalities. When Rachel is not dancing, you can find her selling her art at local art markets or playing outside!
