We are thrilled to be rebuilding a robust program of mentoring in Missoula. Two years ago BBBS Missoula closed and after hearing loudly and clearly from the community that there is a need, we expanded our reach and we are now serving families and kids in Flathead and Missoula Counties.

For the last 1.5 years we have been connecting adult mentors with kids in Missoula and the results have been fabulous. The mentors believe they are the ones who are benefiting most from the mentoring relationship, while their mentees are quite sure they are. Through these relationships, these kids are gaining confidence, expanding their perspectives, trying new things, and trusting in community.

Just this past month we finalized a partnership with Big Sky High School and Target Range School District. Now we are in the process of enrolling high school mentors who will work directly with elementary and middle school students while benefiting from the professional support of our staff. At the same time, we are building a partnership with the UM School of Education through which we will place their students in Missoula schools as mentors.
