Grizzly bears are one of Montana’s – and North America’s – most iconic wildlife species, but they face many challenges in the modern world. In this lunchtime presentation, you’ll learn about what grizzlies need to thrive, the important contributions they make to ecosystem health, and what it takes to share the land with them.

This is a free, drop-in presentation, but you are welcome to reserve your spot!

Presenter info:
Frances Backhouse is a British Columbia-based author, journalist, and former biologist. Her newest book, Grizzly Bears: Guardians of the Wilderness, was written especially for 9- to 12-year-olds, but is proving popular with bear-lovers of all ages. Copies will be available for purchase at the event.
