skills to your resume? If so, this workshop
might be right for you. This workshop
is geared for individuals currently
working in healthcare and delivering
hands-on patient care. Workshop
instruction emphasizes proper techniques
for collecting and processing
blood specimens and cultures for
laboratory analyses. Additionally, you
will learn proper methods and procedures
for draw requirements, tube
selection, infection control, laboratory
safety, quality assurance, confidentiality,
regulatory compliance, and
most significantly patient comfort and
safety. Participants will practice blood
and culture collection techniques with
mannequins and other equipment
in the classroom. Upon successful
completion of the workshop and
demonstration of skills participants will
receive a certificate of competency
for Phlebotomy Basics. Required for
Enrollment: Proof of current C.N.A.,
or L.P.N., or R.N., or Higher nursing
credential
