We're cleaning up the Broadway Frontage Road (it's the Hwy 200 corridor between East Missoula & Missoula) along the railroad tracks. We'd love all of the helping hands we can get.
Montana Ace Hardware is donating gloves and garbage bags, but please bring your own rakes (and tools) if you feel you'll want them.
Recycle/reuse buddies at Heritage Timber will have a truck and trailer available for recyclables, including paper products, glass, metals, and more.
I'll have native wildflower and grass seeds on hand to plant after/during clean up.
We'll meet in the Drum Coffee Parking Lot - across from the Eastgate Albertsons - if you can't show up at the start time, you should be able to find us without a problem, but bags and gloves will be at Drum. AND, Drum is offering a 50% discount on the drink of your choice for helping clean-up the neighborhood.
*Please don't park in the Drum Coffee parking lot, or the GW Petroleum parking lot beside Drum. You'll have to find a spot to park along the frontage road somewhere, so we aren't blocking spots in those business lots.*
There is no school on Earth Day, so bring your kiddos, but remember the speed limit along this highway is 45 mph. If you have wee ones, you'll wanna keep a close eye on them. If anyone has any of those "Slow" signs (in the shape of a strange child) bring them. We can place them strategically along the way.
