drought conditions in Western
Montana, many are looking for ways
to conserve this precious resource
and still have beautiful lawns and
productive gardens. This workshop
will explore the principles of xeriscaping,
or gardening that conserves water
and protects the environment. Topics
will include selecting plants, designing
and maintaining gardens, improving
soils, using mulches, and irrigating
efficiently.
