Nature continues dispite a virus which has significantly upended our day-to-day lives. Early bloomers are displaying color, buds are swelling and seeds (in warm locations) are germinating. Here at Caras Nursery we have implemented a number of changes to ensure both our customers and employees are in an environment as safe as we can make it.

Most of the operation (including checkout) has been moved outside. Greenhouses have their side and roof vents open during business hours. Chalk marks delineate six foot spacing and sanitation is paramount. Within the nursery's large, open spaces there is beauty and wonder. Fruit trees are blooming along with pansies and primrose. Frost tolerant vegetable starts adorn various plant benches. And as always the place has the feel of a meandering garden. Truckloads of outdoor plants (shipped before the crisis started) are spread out over the acreage. More tender greenhouse plants are rolled out every morning. It's a lot of work but we feel it's worth it.

We have been encouraging pick up and delivery. We can bring product directly to your car and are offering free delivery for most items. Bulk soil, compost and bark still have a $25 delivery charge (this applies to Frenchtown, East Missoula, and Lolo).
