Transgender-Affirmative Care Description:
Presented by: Oak Reed M.A., Clinical Psychology Doctoral Student, University of Montana

Details: All healthcare workers are encouraged to attend this engaging activity aimed at improving the quality of care provided to Transgender individuals.

In this 90-minute training you will learn:
- Important Transgender terminology
- Barriers to care for Transgender patients
- Statistics regarding health disparities
- How to overcome barriers to care and create a welcoming environment for all patients

Date: March 28th , 12-1:30pm

Location: Community Medical Center, Gallagher Board Room

Cost: Free – Sign-up not required

One and a half nursing contact hours will be awarded with attendance of at least 80% of the activity, and completion of an evaluation.

Community Medical Center is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

There is no conflict of interest for anyone with the ability to control content of this activity, because the activity is not related to any products/services of a commercial entity.
