Dates: Saturdays, March 25 and April 15th
Time: 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Location: Montana Natural History Center

FREE! (Donations appreciated.)

The weather is warming, the days are lengthening, and we’re celebrating with a wild and crafty family program! Take your inspiration from MNHC’s specimens and/or your favorite wild creature, and craft your very own wild animal head in a two-part workshop led by artist Jennifer Ogden! For our first class, on March 25, we will design, build, and add papier-mâché to the animal heads. For our second class, on April 15, we will paint and decorate the wearable sculptures. Your wearable creation will be completed just in time to show off at the Wild Walk Parade on April 22nd, which will kick off Missoula’s 46th Annual International Wildlife Film Festival!

This workshop is suitable for all ages! Families are welcome, and all kiddos should bring their grown-up!
All art-making materials will be provided!
Instructor: Jennifer Ogden is a collage artist and art educator from the Bitterroot Valley. She works at Victor School and the Missoula Art Museum, where she often does papier-mâché with her students. She is an Open AIR summer alumna and has taught for SPARK Arts, Missoula Family YMCA, Evergreen Kids Corner, Bitterroot Public Library, and the Bemis School of Art.

Cancellation: If you are registered and cannot attend the workshop, please let us know at program@openairmt.org so we can open up the spot for another participant!
