The YWCA's GRIT middle school program is a 5-day camp offered during spring break, from 9am-5pm March 25th-29th. Throughout the week, participants will learn basic skills and complete personal projects in carpentry, welding, and bike mechanics - as well as visit a local job site, tinker with small engines, take a comedy workshop, swim, and generally have fun! In all activities, we will emphasize the importance of working together, identifying one’s personal strengths, setting and reaching goals, and forming positive friendships. We have 12 spots available, which are open to girls and non-binary and gender-diverse youth in grades 6-8!
