Myths and Realities of Housing Costs in Missoula

“Myths and Realities of Housing: The mismatch between incomes and costs in Missoula and what can be done about it” a public meeting free and open to the public, will be presented Wednesday, March 20, 2019, 7:00 – 8:30 pm in the Missoula Public Library large meeting room. Co-sponsored buy the League of Women Voters Missoula, Homeword and the Missoula Housing Authority, the presentations will explain the constraints of typical household incomes compared to housing construction costs.

Presenters will also review current programs to address housing affordability and the degree to which these programs are insufficient to solve the problem. The presentation will conclude with an overview of the current policy planning effort underway in the Housing and Community Development Department of the City of Missoula and how citizens can participate.
