Spring 2021 Virtual World View Film Series: Description:
We are excited to partner with Arts Missoula and Humanities Montana to offer the Virtual World View Film Series with the spring theme “Cultures Coming Together.” The film "Dawnland," chosen in honor of Women’s History Month, is the untold story of Indigenous child removal in the US through the nation's first-ever government-endorsed truth and reconciliation commission, which investigated the devastating impact of Maine’s child welfare practices on the Wabanaki people. "Dawnland" is available to view on PBS. A hosted film discussion on Zoom will be offered every third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Zoom discussions participation is by invitation only.
