Spring 2021 Virtual World View Film Series: Cultures Coming Together Description:
We are excited to partner with Arts Missoula and Humanities Montana to offer the Virtual World View Film Series with the spring theme “Cultures Coming Together.” This month’s movie, "Dawnland," chosen in honor of Women’s History Month, is the untold story of Indigenous child removal in the US through the nation's first-ever government-endorsed truth and reconciliation commission, which investigated the devastating impact of Maine’s child welfare practices on the Wabanaki people. "Dawnland" is available to view on PBS. A hosted film discussion on Zoom will be offered every third Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Registration opens up Friday, February 12 and the Zoom discussion for this month will be on March 18th. Zoom discussions participation is by invitation only. Community members and film enthusiasts can register at: https://signup.com/go/AQPBouB
