Join best-selling author and Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Nicholas Kristof for this year’s Annual Mansfield Lecture, “Rebuilding America,” a look at the deep structural problems that America faces. These problems go far beyond our political divides and have been caused by decades of policy decisions from all sides. Suicides are at their highest rate since World War II, one child in seven is living with a parent suffering from substance abuse, and life expectancy in America is falling. Yet there are signs of hope as communities embrace new ways of addressing these issues, from job-retraining to early education for disadvantaged children, in order to rebuild the American Dream.
