Description:
The Confluence Center (Western Montana's Home for Nonprofit Events) art program Torrents is thrilled to present a magical evening of art, music, and community! For the month of March we are covering our walls with paintings by the fantastic Grace Lawless.
Missoula artist Grace Lawless presents the exhibit Human Error, a whole lot of everything, because that is the human experience. She is fueled by doubters and nay sayers. She believes in dreaming more than most things. Lawless's paintings often resemble playful and childlike imagery because she loves the authenticity and rawness that those states of mind are able to evoke. We were all once children, and she is fascinated by that. Her art can sometimes be ironic, highlighting her own mental blocks to becoming a "successful" artist. She lives by her last name and really has no rules or bounds for how or what she creates.
Reception will be First Friday, March 6th, 5-8pm at the Confluence Center at 119 W Main St, Missoula, MT. Also featuring live music by the jazz quartet featuring MJ Williams, Beth Lo, David Horgan and Naomi Siegel! Human Error will remain on display through March 28th and can be seen by appointment through the Confluence Center: 406-926-6526. There will also be an Artist Talk/Closing Reception for the held on Saturday, February 28th, 6-8pm.
