?Meet both artists First Friday from 5 to 8! Abby will join us from Livingston, Montana and Christine from Newberg, Oregon.

Abby Pittman shares, "Growing up, my name was 'flower child' because of my love for bright colors and wild patterns (as well as my love for all creatures). My painting style reflects the same preferences to this day through my bold color choices, layered brushstrokes and my vivid depictions of nature and wildlife. I specifically enjoy focusing on the landscapes and animals of the Rocky Mountain region of the U.S, mostly focusing on those that are native to Montana."

Christine Joy shares, “Much of learning to be an artist is learning how to see.” This is something Christine Joy has discovered time and time again in her painting journey. When good weather allows, her study paintings are created from life–en plein air. Christine has enjoyed painting in many of the National Parks as well as several countries across the globe. Painting en plein air has its challenges–the changing light and weather in a landscape, or the peculiar nature of flowers (they keep moving to face the light, even after they are picked!) These challenges are what makes painting outdoors exciting to her.
