The Business of Writing with Julie Stevenson: Learn about the publishing world from a literary agent.
Twice per year, the Missoula Writing Collaborative offers creative writing classes for adults known The Writers’ Room. These classes are taught by professional writers and span a broad range of topics. This year’s classes will take place over Zoom and are a great opportunity to connect with fellow writers and hone your writing skills in a genre you’re familiar with or reach out and try a new one.
Two Writers’ Room classes will be held on Saturday, March 5, while others will take place over the course of 4-6 weekday evenings.
This year’s Writers’ Room offerings include:
March 5, 10 am to noon
The Business of Writing with Julie Stevenson: Learn about the publishing world from a literary agent.
March 5, 1 pm to 3 pm
Eat Your Words with Emily Freeman: Explore the intersection of words and food, in all of its forms.
Tuesdays, February 22 - March 15
The Project with Emily Freeman: Got a writing project in the works? Learn strategies, gain feedback, and find motivation to take it to the next level.
Mondays, March 7 - 28
Honoring Women with Alyx Chandler: We’ll celebrate Women’s History Month by uplifting and responding to iconic women poets of the last 100 years. All levels of writers welcome.
Wednesdays, March 9 - April 13 (no class March 23)
Driving On In Wide Fictions with Caroline Patterson: During this advanced fiction workshop, we will work on prompts, read & discuss short fiction, and workshop one another's pieces.
