Global Public Health Lecture Series: “Supporting Children with Disabilities in Rural Eastern Uganda - an International Collaboration"
Dr. Janet Sedgley, following her retirement dream to be involved in international disability and accessibility efforts, starting building an internationally focused nonprofit, AccessPromise in 2018. She also continues to work as a Digital Accessibility consultant through her 6-year old company, Tessellearn - the accessible learning company.

Janet has 30 years of experience in information technology including 15 years of collaborative work with Disability Services for Students at UM, and 5 years leading UM's initial Digital Accessibility efforts and managing the Accessible Technology Services unit in IT. She also taught as an adjunct professor for Computer Science. Her interests include International travel, technology in support of education, gardening, lakes and canoes, and lifelong learning.

The Global Public Health Spring 2020 Lecture series features health professionals who work to improve public health around the world sharing their experiences and insights weekly during the Spring semester.
