Though they knew, studied, and influenced one another, piano legends Isidore “Tuts” Washington, Henry “Professor Longhair” Byrd, and Allen Toussaint had never performed together—until the historic concert at the heart of this film. Their story, however, takes a tragic and unexpected turn.
