Love sushi and Japanese food, but aren’t sure you can recreate your favorite menu items at home? Well you definitely can! This class will teach beginning sushi making, including the preparation of dipping sauces and accompaniments such as pickled ginger. In addition, you will learn how to make the popular and refreshing Japanese cucumber salad often served as an appetizer. Using bamboo sushi mats, we will make a traditional California roll, various vegetarian sushi rolls, and spicy sushi sauce. For dessert, we will make mint tea matcha milkshakes. In addition to using your creativity, this class has the potential to save you some serious change; homemade sushi is delicious and affordable!
