This class is a fast-paced review of general C.N.A. responsibilities. During this class students will have the opportunity to participate in classroom lectures, discussions, written tests, and limited hands-on skills practice. This class will cover topics related to health care delivery systems, communications, resident/patient rights, cultural diversity, end-of-life care, care of cognitively impaired individuals, and basic restorative services. This refresher can reinforce practical knowledge before sitting for the C.N.A. challenge exam. This class is designed for individuals who: • Have a lapsed C.N.A. certification; • Or, are working in a hands-on healthcare position, but have not held C.N.A. certification; • Or, those who want to refresh prior to sitting for C.N.A. challenge exam. Per State of Montana guidelines: • Individuals sitting for the C.N.A. challenge exam have one opportunity to pass the exam. • If this attempt is not successful, the examinee is required to enroll and complete the C.N.A. program prior to re-taking exam. No pre-requisites. But, highly recommended to have knowledge of: • Medical terminology; • Patient care with hands-on skills including proper body mechanics, safety protocols, and the ability to take and record vital signs.Additional Information:Exam costs are not included in the cost of tuition.
