Parents, Let's talk climate. Description:
According to the Yale Climate Opinion Maps hosted by the Yale Program on Climate Change Communication project, 72% of Montanans understand that global warming is happening, and that it will impact us (61%). But, we not discussing the problem, or achieving the urgency we need to solve it.

Three-quarters of Americans hear about climate change from someone they know only twice every year.

Scientist Katharine Hayhoe summed up the impact of this silence very clearly: “If we don’t talk about it, we won’t care about it, and we won’t take action.”
All are welcome. The workshop is specifically for participants who are concerned about the issue and would like to have conversations but aren’t sure where to start.

This free 90-minute event will engage participants in the basic science and impacts of the climate crisis on Montana, and help them build confidence in sharing their climate concerns through stories, and finding shared concerns. The goal is to build community and confidence, inspiring personal and public action.

You must register via the event link. Capped at 10 participants. These will be ongoing small group events.
