Becoming a US Citizen

Description:
What does it mean to become a
citizen of the United States? What
benefits and rights do citizens enjoy?
What are the responsibilities of
citizenship? This course will prepare
you to take each section of the U.S.
Citizenship Test and it will cover topics
such as the U.S. Government, History,
American Symbols and Celebrations,
U.S. Geography, Reading, and Writing.
It will also cover tips on how to
study for the test and prepare yourself
for the interview. If you have completed
the form N-400, bring a copy
of that document to class. To enroll in
this course students should be able
to speak, read and write English at an
Intermediate level or higher. If you are
not currently enrolled in ESL classes
you will need to attend an ESL enrollment
