Winter Connection - Gathering Ground Description:
Where: This class is located outside around a lovely winter campfire at Montana Natural History Center's - Fort Missoula Native Plant Garden.
When: Jan 11, 1-4pm
Registration: $35

Nature exists within all of us. With our high paced and technology driven culture it is the norm to become disconnected from nature's rhythms, cycles, and messages. In this class, we will begin to open that door to nature in each other's presence, and remember parts of ourselves that are lost and withheld from our daily life.

Finding deeper connection with nature allows us to be healthier, happier, and better humans in the world. This class will be exploring one’s own relationship to nature and deepening that practice of nature connection within the community. Together we will explore concepts that are a part of deep ecology and ecotherapy. This class takes place during winter, when we need reconnection to nature and community the most.

This is a space to allow emotions, as well as memories and connections that have helped form who we are and that can help deepen our relationship to nature. We will explore and deepen our relationships to the natural world and the native plants that exist here in Missoula, through guided individual exploration, connection, and reflection on our experiences in the group. This may include nature art and nature journaling depending on the group and the direction that the class energy takes. Come prepared with warm clothes for the weather as well as writing utensils and journals.
