Description:
On October 17th, the University of Montana Environmental Law Group will host the fourth annual “Bulls, Blues and Brews” benefit and silent auction. The event, aimed to promote awareness of environmental issues affecting Montana, will begin at 6:00pm at the Missoula Children’s Theatre Center for the Performing Arts, located at 200 N. Adams St. in Missoula.
Admission is $10 for the general public and $5 for students. The evening includes door prizes, locally produced food and beverages, and live music performances by Def Cartel and American Butter. The focus of this year’s event is the public’s desire for information about the consequences of climate change and the creative efforts of nonprofits and lawyers under way to fight the causes. The event also will provide information about how Montana’s abundance of natural resources puts the state in a unique position to impact how the nation progresses as policymakers balance the need for development with the need for resource protection.
