*NYC Comedian To Perform Live In Missoula!!
So, what is the catalyst that brings a New York City lesbian Comedian whom has appeared on national radio and cable TV to Missoula? Jackie Primrose Monahan says it is because her partner of eight years grew up in Missoula, attended The University Of Montana, and has parents residing in Helena. 'I've never performed in Montana before and it is a great chance for my family to see my routine' said Monahan. Jackie also informed me that she has been to Missoula before and has enjoyed each visit. In our phone interview, Monahan stated she feels her biggest career accomplishment to date is the recent filming and upcoming premiere of 'One Night Stand Up' with Andrea Meyerson. The series will air this Fall on LOGO. I asked Jackie how she chose comedy as a career? She replied' 'Comedy sort of chose me; it's a career that I probably would not have chose to pursue because there can be a lot of pressure and stress'. She further stated that she enjoys the challenge of making people laugh at things that are hard to laugh at. I asked Jackie about her future career dreams. She responded with saying she hopes to host her own comedy talk show someday and would also love to try sitcom.
Jackie Monahan's resume includes being a regular on The Mary Povitch Show and a panelist on Red Eye - a late night television show. She is also a repeat guest on Maxim and OUTQ Sirius Satellite Radio. Jackie can also be seen on HERETV co-hosting 'Girls On Girls'. Monahan is currently headlining The LOL Tour.
