Irreplaceable: Wildlife in a Warming World
10:00 AM Roxy Theater
Description:
Irreplaceable: Wildlife in a Warming World (www.irreplaceablewild.org) May 8- June 15
Global warming will become a leading cause of species extinction over the next several decades. Through the power of images in this first-of-its-kind exhibit, the wildlife impacted by global warming tell their story.
Irreplaceable: Wildlife in a Warming World is a first-ever, multi-city traveling photo exhibit and series of public events dedicated to bringing attention the plight of imperiled species in the face of climate change. The campaign is led by a coalition of justice, faith, art, and science groups: Earthjustice, Noah Alliance, International League of Conservation Photographers (ILCP), and Conservation International's Center for Applied Biodiversity Science (CABS). The exhibit highlights species that are already being threatened by the effects of global warming, from the majestic polar bear in the Artic to the Wolverine and Grizzly Bear found in the Rockies.
Exhibit includes work by the following award-winning outdoor and wildlife photographers:
• Cristina Mittermeier -- http://www.cristinamittermeier.com
