Description:
MONTANA REP MISSOULA CONTINUES NEW SEASON AT THE RENOVATED CRYSTAL WITH TWO PINTER ONE ACTS.
Montana Rep Missoula the downtown wing of The Montana Repertory Theatre, the professional theatre-in-residence at The University of Montana will present its second show of the season at The Crystal Theatre beginning October 14.
The evening consists of two one acts by Nobel Prize Laureate Harold Pinter: “The Dumb Waiter” and “Ashes to Ashes”. The first play was written very early in Pinter’s career the other much later. In producing these two short plays in one evening MRM hopes to acquaint Missoula audiences with one of the greatest and most challenging talents of the twentieth century. Pinter has been described by The New York Times as “one of the most essential artists of the twentieth century” and that his work “gets under our skin more than that of any living playwright”.
MRM continues its residence at the newly renovated Crystal Theatre. With new risers and added lighting positions as well as a brand new façade. The Crystal is fast becoming an inviting center for downtown arts activity on the “hip strip”.
The directors for the evening are Greg Johnson, artistic director of The Montana Repertory Theatre and Ron Fitzgerald currently writing for the Showtime hit series “Weeds”. The cast includes Howard Kingston, David Mills-Low, Salina Chatlain and Tyler Neislin. The set design is by Jason Blanchard.
The production will run for two weeks.
