Description:
Heal Montana's health care system and earn your medical degree in six hours!
Do you have a personal horror story or experience involving health insurance or health care?
Are you tired of big pharmaceutical companies and the insurance companies dominating the industry?
Join Forward Montana as we change the political landscape through health care reform! We are hosting a training on Saturday, April 12th at the UM Law School's Castles Center from 10 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. We have lined up great speakers including Steve Seninger from the UM Economics Department, Anita Kuennen who is the Executive Director of The Blue Mountain Clinic, and Jenny McGovern who is affiliated with Working for Equality and Economic Liberation (WEEL) to discuss the current state of health care in Montana from an on the ground perspective. Food and drinks will be provided throughout the day as we spend time strategizing and planning an approach to effect change and head out into the Missoula community in medical scrubs and talk to our neighbors about their perspective on health care! A post-canvass reception will be held at the Badlander where we can come together and share our stories and experiences.
