Bash: Latter Day Plays
7:30 PM    Crystal Theatre

Description:
When In Rome Productions opens it’s 2008 season with Neil Labute’s compelling exploration of the banality of evil, Bash: Latter Day Plays.

Three plays. Three Secrets. Three lines crossed.

This brilliantly simple and shockingly brutal short play cycle by award winning American Playwright Neil Labute (The Shape of Things, In the Company of Men) brings together three dazzlingly fierce recollections – three stories unconnected in character, plot or motive, but linked by the creeping horror of three “ordinary” people who, one day, for their own reasons, commit horrific acts.

This thoughtful and absorbing work has received widespread critical acclaim since its premier in 1999, and is a damning snapshot of the secrets of three very different minds and motivations, and an example of cutting contemporary drama at its very finest.

Bash. Everyone has a secret.

bash: latter day plays, brings together a cross-section of the Missoula theatre community. Former assistant to the Artistic Director of the Montana Repertory Theatre Lisa Marie Hyslop directs a compelling and diverse local cast including current MRT administrative assistant Salina Chatlain (Cyclone), University of Montana Drama/ Dance alum Jackson Palmer (Boy Gets Girl, Tartuffe, House of Blue Leaves), Jessica Adam (Stop Kiss) and Missoula theatre favorite Chris Evans.
