Explore the Market: Cheese 101
Thursday, July 24, 6:30 pm, $20
What is a washed rind cheese? When do I want to serve a hard rind cheese? What are the typical flavors and differences in cow, sheep, goat and buffalo's milk? How should I store cheese? What kind of wine should I serve with stinky cheeses? For that matter, what are stinky cheeses? New GFS Cheese Buyer Cicelia Ross-Gotta teams with Cooking School Coordinator and former GFS Wine Buyer Doug Smith to answer these questions and many more. And you’ll get more than just answers to your questions – you’ll taste a selection of Cicelia’s favorites, each paired with a delicious accompaniament, including:
• Cana de Oveja • Rollingstone's Fromage Blanc • Tallegio • Five Year Gouda • Gorgonz
