Campers will create art based Isaac Newton's color experiments; and use M.C. Escher as a starting point for creating tessellations and "impossible" architecture. The "persistence of vision" and animation will be explored through simple moving animation devices such as zoetropes and phenakistescopes designed by early photographer Edward Muybridge. Lastly campers will look to the Renaissance artists to begin perspective drawing and understand the tricks of using the Golden Mean .
