Description:
Beadwork and Mixed Media collage
Thursdays 3 -5 pm // April 3-24
Ages 12-16 // Teacher: Molly Murphy
Students will learn basic beadwork techniques and complete a beadwork piece of their own design. The beadwork segment will be incorporated into a mixed media painting and collage for each student. Students can use native patterns or bring in designs and graphics of their choosing and will have an opportunity to see how a traditional technique can be used to portray modern subjects. No beading experience necessary! Thanks to the Montana Arts Council for their support in bringing exhibiting artist Molly Murphy to the MAM to share her knowledge and expertise with us. $20
