Drummond PRCA Rodeo

Description:
Drummond hosts the 70th annual PRCA rodeo on Sunday, July 8, 2012. This historic Montana rodeo features professional cowboys from across the Northwest, who compete to win money and earn their place in the National Rodeo Finals.
Events start with a children's parade at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 7. Slack follows at 9 a.m. Sunday morning. The official rodeo parade runs down Drummond's Front Street at Noon. At 2 p.m., the main event kicks off, with fanfare, audience participation, bullfighters and a 50/50 raffle. The event features saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, tie down roping, team roping and bull riding. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6 to 10 at the gate. Children 5 and under are free. Outside the arena there are food stands, a beer garden and picnic tables.
Drummond's Roughstock Saloon will host a street dance after the rodeo. Take I-90 or MT Highway 1 to Drummond. Go to center of town, then south 0.75 of a mile to the American Legion Goldstar Post 125 Rodeo Grounds. All proceeds support Drummond Kiwanis Club charity projects.
