Friday July 13th check in will be from 4-6pm, activities will run from 7-9. Saturday Check-In will be from 7-9am, activities will begin at 9am with scheduled and unscheduled time throughout the day ending at 9pm for younger levels. A complimentary bandana will be provided for all participants. Please wear this throughout the event to identify yourself as an Girl Scout event participant.
This event is inspired by our founder and trailblazer Juliette Gordon Low honoring a century of Girl Scouting. Girl Scouts will discover the 1970²s and 1980²s; this era saw women unite to work towards career equality. In reflection of these 2 decades, and in celebration of The Year of the Girl! participants will discover their inner 'Girl Scout in Science' by exploring areas of Physics, Biology, Engineering, Chemistry, Architecture, and the world of sound. Participate in interactive booths, run experiments in science, play games, sing, and learn new songs!
This Journey will be held at historic Fort Missoula as a 2 day Girl Scout camp out July 13th, 14th, and 15th. Camping, now considered a Girl Scout tradition, was at our founding considered a 'boy activity'. All overnight participants must be registered Girl Scout members including adults. Girl Scout day trippers are welcome and must be registered for the event, girl day attendees must be registered Girl Scouts (12$ membership fee).
This event is open to girls in all grades and supervising adults.
