The MPL Book Group meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 7 pm in the Board Room. Discussion titles include a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction. Comprised of five books covering a twenty-year span in the life of narrator Jim Burden, My Ántonia begins with Jim as a young boy traveling to Nebraska to live with his grandparents on their homestead. There he meets Ántonia, the daughter of Bohemian immigrants and forms a friendship Jim will remember all of his life.
